I found the "Soul Song" mp3 file to have a very emotionally moving and healing chant within it. I recommend hearing the CD first and then read to book. I think this would help the book be understood better. There are a number of books that talk about "empowerments" and "DNA downloads". These kinds of initiations are being shared in many ways now, during this transitional time. This book is similar to those and unique in its own way. It focuses more on releasing the soul song than others, which sometimes only use visualizations or more formalized chants. Each has some value. I am not sure if this book offers enough different from some of the other books with a similar theme. The collection of exercises is fairly unique because of the focus on voicing the "soul song". LIVING IN THE LIGHT by Shakti Gawain has a similar feel for me to this book, but uses visualizations and gentle breathing. THE STARSEED TRANSMISSIONS by Ken Carey is my favorite "download" book, though it contains no exercises. There is a shift in feeling and an attuning to information coming through just following what the book is sharing in present time. The author seems to get into a similar space through methods involving "voicing" and may have something useful for people more attuned to this kind of approach. All in all, the books that help one to connect to higher sources of healing are all useful and this book is a decent expression of this kind of information.

As someone who enjoys Brian Weiss, Stuart Wilde, even a little Neale Donald Walsch, my new age mysticism credentials aren't too shabby. But Soul Wisdom is a bit much for me.

The premises of the book are two:

1) There are souls in all things, guiding principles that make the universe work, and lessons life teaches us for which we ought to be grateful.

2) If we chant a number sequence in Chinese so fast that we're no longer coherent, we'll start speaking a mystical Soul Language that puts us in touch with the Divine.

The author should have stopped with point 1.

I don't doubt that there is a Divine. There may well be a way to get in touch with Him, Her or It. But I don't think chanting to the point of incoherence is the trick that everyone's missed till now. Yes, the chanting's fun - I did try it. But I think the peaceful feeling following comes because you've gotten the brain to disengage and aren't saying anything, not because you're suddenly channeling God. Most likely, this Soul Language is mild, self-induced hypnosis.

What's saddening, and maddening, is that this book does contain a lot of Soul Wisdom. The passages on gratitude for the ills life brings are sweetly hopeful, the discourses on the universality of souls are well worth thinking about. But the best of this book is buried beneath a pile of mysticism and "Divine Downloads" of the sophisticated fortune cookie variety.

Some of the reviewers have nothing but positive things to say, positing the author as a spiritual figure who has changed their lives and who will change the world. I'm glad they've had the experience and wish them all the best. But if I had a friend who was looking for a way to work through troubles and find new meaning and purpose, I'd be too concerned about the claims about Divine visits and Soul Language taking him or her further off course to recommend this. Better stick to Dyer and Chopra, or even The Secret.

I cut my teeth on books dedicated to stretch us emotionally, mentally, spiritually. I was excited to hear what Dr. Gang Sha had to say. And I was truly disappointed.

I have strongly supported and cheered the holistic focus that has finally found its way to the mainstream. I have also watched a stream of New Age fluff find its way down that path as well. This book would fit into that category for me.

There are "downloads" that you can mentally Absorb. There is pretty langugage and not a great deal of substance. Although the credentials listed on the book sound quite impressive, I also have to realize they were written by someone paid to spin the book impressive.

Then I turn and look at the substantive work that people like Jon Kabat Zinn have done for thirty plus years and the clinical research that backs up their claims... and I think I will simply pass this fluff by for something with a little teeth.

Included in the book is also a CD. Wow. I'm not even sure how to describe my take on that. Going into the recycle bin!

Let me start off by telling you that I did NOT approach this book as a skeptic. Given the appropriate circumstances, I will be happy to tell you about my past lives, spirit contacts, the spiritual exploration I have been on for many years, even engage in speculation on the significance of December 21, 2012. So when Dr. Zhi Gang Sha offered Soul Wisdom, I was prepared to listen.

Before getting far into the book, there were many red flags. Sha talks of "power" and "treasures" (things far removed from wisdom), of "secret codes" (one of which looks like the zip code for Honolulu with '33' tacked on the front) and ridiculous phrases like "Divine Downloads" and "Divine Soul Transplant of Divine Golden Light Ball and Golden Liquid Spring of Divine Soul Language". We are told that "this is the first time in history that the Divine has released these soul secrets".

It soon becomes very obvious that Sha is not offering wisdom, but a form of religion. Portions of the book even resemble christian catechisms and chants in church hymnals. Sha tells us to chant nonsense syllables faster and faster until our pronunciation is slurred, and that's our soul language.

None of this is wisdom, it's just self-promoting obfuscation with rote and rituals that get in the way of actually thinking and learning.

I would call this book worse than a complete waste of time. While reading it, I repeatedly had the thought that if I had absolutely no respect for other people, I could write drivel like this and cash in, too. The idea that it is all about selling things and not about wisdom is supported by the catalog of things you can buy from Dr. Sha on the last few pages.

The "bonus" CD is not an audio CD, but contains a 14 minute MP3 file of very repetitious chant. It disturbed my kitten when I played it, and I don't blame him one bit.

For those who are interested in Eastern medicine, healing, and philosophies this book would be a good one to add to the library that you are already keeping. Passages on yin and yang, mantras, healing, with bits of meridians and chakras are all in here.
While not being an avid student of those particular paths of thought, I do know enough to not be totally lost with the reading. The concepts are explained plainly and easily enough, its just that for some people the feeling of bewilderment is going to be a major road block. The author talks about the "soul" and its language, communication, needs, wants, desires, appetites and things like that. He speaks of countless lives, countless souls and infinite universes. I get what he is saying even if I myself dont buy into all of it.
The information is presented, as mentioned earlier, in a straightforward manner and explained as best it can. The author relies on "Divine downloads" at the end of certain passages to help you "get" the information, receive the gift, or apply the message. I am not sure how that is supposed to work, perhaps I am just not ready (as stated in the book, some are ready and some...aren't).
All said and done, the book is interesting and something that takes some thought to read. It is one of those books that, while I dont believe all of what it contains, still has enough information in it to help you ruminate on some of the concepts for a bit.

I skimmed thru this book at first and realized I couldn't get anything out of it unless I read it thoroughly so I sat down and once I was in it I could not put it down. I began to feel a peace abot myself and it spread as I went from one page to the next. This is a very good book to read without interupptions but as you progress you realize a bomb could go off and you wouldn't hear it. Excellent book.

I don't think I have ever read a book which recommended so many downloads to make me feel better or to improve my health - all at hefty expense to line the nice doctor's pockets. I have always found computers to be wonderful things ... now I can use mine to heal myself - Wow! Watch out credit cards ... here we go!

I would not recommend this unless you are a fan of the author and want to complete your collection.

This book isnt for everybody, but, does have some great interesting points on how to look at the world. The book works well with all religions and it comes with a great CD for listening. If anybody is looking for a book that has a "works well with others" type of book with all religions, then this is the book for you. Very good read and would be worth the price for those looking for spirit type healing.

this book was nothing like i had imagined it to be. the little information offered was redundant. overall, i was thoroughly disappointed and feel very cheated. because it was rated so high, i went back and reread the reviews only to discover one reviewer had pointed out that if you look at the people who are reviewing this book, this is often the only book they have written a review for. something is definitely fishy there. AMAZON might want to look into that. in the meantime, please do yourself a serious favor and save your money. if you are looking for a great book filled with wisdom, try EXCUSE ME, YOUR LIFE IS WAITING by lynn grabhorn. surely, there is something to be gleaned from this book and you will NOT be disappointed in this one.

The words flow beautifully but the upon reflection nothing solid is contained in them that leaves a lasting impression. Is there too much soul and not enough 5000 year Chinese wisdom? I don't know. Before you buy the book page through it and if most of pages read to you like so much psycho-babble, don't buy it. All of it put together won't make any more sense to you. It is not your kind of book.

I'm not even finished with this book, but I had to comment. There are so many positive reviews here (and a few negative), that I felt compelled to add my two cents. To the detractors: while it is normal to be skeptical of these teachings, please bear in mind that as in life, you should take what works for you and disregard the rest. Just because something doesn't ring true to your soul, doesn't mean it can't benefit someone else. Conversely, just because something resonates with you, doesn't mean it will resonate with someone else.

I am only on the chapter in this book which addresses Soul Language Translation, and I have to say that so far it has proved to be an amazing experience for me. I have spoken Soul Language on a number of occasions, and that in itself was truly incredible. No, I don't know what I am saying (I hope to learn how to interpret that, eventually), but just the act of speaking in a language I've never heard of and in such a fluent manner was mind-boggling. The "words" just flew out of my mouth; I had no control over them. I can tell you that the very first time I spoke Soul Language, it felt as though my Soul was absolutely elated at this opportunity. I felt such joy and bliss during this action that I found myself laughing with glee.

Just two days ago, I used Soul Language to try and heal myself. I've been having a persistant pain/ache in my shoulder for weeks now due to overdoing weight exercises. I used the blessing in the book and specified what I needed/wanted to heal, and then spoke Soul Language. Again, I have no clue, as yet, of what I was saying; I can only tell you that shortly thereafter the pain I was feeling was significantly diminished. I cannot explain how or why. Coincidence? Who knows? All I know is that prior to my actions, the pain was nearly unbearable. Now, I hardly experience symptoms at all.

As for naysayers who dispute Dr. Sha's charging $97.00 for "ankle downloads", etc. I don't buy into that, anyway. If it speaks to your soul to make such a "purchase", go right ahead..otherwise, as I said earlier, disregard whatever doesn't ring true to you, and instead, focus on what resonates with your soul. I also don't buy into the idea that one has to chant for two hours every day for six months or so to be healed of their afflictions. To me, the spiritual world does not put a price or time frame on their ability or willingness to heal. I will say, however, that I believe in order for us to heal ourselves (vs. looking exclusively to the spiritual realm), we must do some work, too. Healthy eating, exercise and daily meditation can go a long way towards that goal. Also, I'm sure that the chanting ritual to open up your "message center" (heart chakra) doesn't hurt. I know that whenever I chant (and it DOESN'T have to be extremely fast at all for me to speak Soul Language or go on "forever"), my cats go "nuts" with affection towards me. I truly believe there is something to this particular mantra and that, even if at times I don't get to speak Soul Language during every attempt, that it is benefiting me in some way.

Lastly, as for Dr. Sha's wearing glasses in spite of his allegations that one can heal themselves through his teachings, has it ever occurred to anyone that maybe some things are not meant to be healed and that a particular affliction may prove to be a lesson in itself? I know, I know. I HATE that idea as much as anyone else. I would love to be able to heal myself of my very poor vision, too (in addition to a host of other things). However, I know that even if I never do, Dr. Sha's book is benefiting me in other ways. Just apart from the experience of speaking Soul Language (a beautiful gift in and of itself), my meditations are deep during chanting, I feel more connected to the Universe and I know deep in my heart that as difficult as life may be, getting in touch with my spirituality is the key to dealing with it all. I am not talking religion here. I am talking about how important it is to remind ourselves daily that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. If this book serves to remind you of that alone, it is far worth the price of the eight to ten dollars you pay for it, even if it does nothing else for you.

He describes what is happening in this time when the soul is in charge and is not dominated by the "logical mind". This book contains very important information and many wonderful blessings.

I honestly have no clue how this book recieved so many 5 stars. The reviews had to be rigged, there is no question in my mind. Soon after I got the book an onslaught of bad reviews came up on Amazon. It seems like other people got dooped by the good reviews also. Save your money, this book will teach you nothing and you'll keep questioning yourself to as why you bother reading another page. If I could give zero stars I would.

Another book written by Master Sha and already a success, what I like about the book is how simple it is to read and understand, you do not have to have any kind of College or University degree to understand the contents of all the chapters written in this book. It is so simple to follow the exercises and gain all the wisdom given in this book that sometimes it is hard to believe that something like that can actually heal us. It also gives wisdom that transform your life.
Since I have done many of the exercises in all of Master Sha's books for over 3 years, I know that they work but we have to do them; talking about it is not enough. We have to be dedicated to practice these exercises in order to be able to heal any kind of illnesses that we may have, and if we don't have any illnesses, we can use these exercises to rejuvenate our organs or systems. There is also a nice surprise in this book, a CD with nice music to help us heal while playing it on our computer while we work in the office or at home. I recommend this book to all who are open to heal themselves.

This Soul Wisdom book is like balsam for our souls. After reading it, you feel such inner peace and contentment because you just "know" deep inside that this simple but profound wisdom is the essential key of transformation! I happened upon this book in the new release section here on Amazon, and sucker that I sometimes am, thought "wow, look at all the 5 star reviews!!" I was amazed that out of 130+ reviews, all were 5 stars, with the exception of 2 or 3. I browsed to see what the table of contents held and decided to bite. My hopes were for something more along the lines or caliber of the Orin & Daben materials, with an Eastern influence. Got my copy a few days ago, and sat for well over an hour reading, and within the first 2 minutes, I began to get this not so uplifting kind of hunch that perhaps the book I was reading was not the same book that got all the 5 star reviews. For one thing the fundamental principles are basic, yet very repetitiously stated, and I found it became very boring in no time. Think: 20 or possibly 30 pages along the metaphorical lines of "if A + B = C, then C = B + A..over and over and over again". THat's just the early portion of the book, so can only guess what the later part contains, honestly. The feeling though was that he was trying to fill the pages to make it appear that there was more info available to the reader than in all actuality there is.

Well, I gave it another whirl earlier today, and made my final decision that this book is not what I had wanted or hoped for.

Here's the rub: if interested, go to each of the reviews here for this book and click on each individual's "see all my reviews" tab for referencing what other materials these people have reviewed, etc. I won't go on any further except to say I leave it up to each of you to make your own conclusions given a very odd yet obvious pattern as far as the ridiculously large majority of reviewers choices in only reviewing the Dr Zhi material(s)and nothing else. Period.

Perhaps there are some valuable things that Dr Zhi truly has shared in this book, but I don't feel there is anything here that warrants purchasing or actually putting into practice on a daily basis.

If the title for this review is not enough, try this: Do not waste your time with this book. The book can be summed up this easily: Babble, sing, move, tap and dance... None of this is original and nothing is put into context. As with all of Sha's books, this is material that is largely not his and written by others. Sha calls this downloading the material into another's soul and the "writer" simply allows the book to unfold as they type. Really? Editing is NOT creating FOR someone else...

This material is akin to Charismatic Christianity Revival meetings.

A better approach to this is to speak your heart with nonsense syllables. It can be very freeing and creative. The Soul Songs from this self-proclaimed master prove that everyone can benefit from singing lessons. Bradford Keeney will teach you to Shake better than almost anyone. EFT will have you tapping in no time. And whirl in a circle as a child or a Sufi to celebrate life.

There, no more money to this organization and you have started a trend towards getting rid of another guru of love.

This book is amazing, there is none like it, because it stands above the rest. You will be amazed by each chapter in this book because it will take you through each chapter with self practices for your self, as well as your love ones. It will take you through breath taking wisdom and understanding of the soul world and it's significance. You will also receive a most blessed benefit for our own soul. I'm sorry, I've tried to put aside every ounce of human reasoning (a definite requirement) when reading this book, but I can't overcome much of what is written here. Divine Software? Divine Downloads? Healing chants requiring 2 hours a day for 6 months? I thought God created the entire world in only 6 days? Why,oh why, would God require you to chant 2 hours each day for 6 months, before he decides if He'll take aim at your particular affliction with His "Beam of Light that turns into a spinning Golden Light Ball!" Healing from God also comes at a premium on the good Doctor's website. Below is just a small sample of the healing "Downloads" for sale for just about every inch of your divine body. There's even a section of "Divine Downloads" for animals! Divine beaks, Divine feathers, Divine gills! Another reviewer here had an observation that hits the nail right on the head. While the good Dr. sells his "Divine Healing Downloads" at his website for a 100 bucks a pop, for anything from bad ankles to the ailing gills on your pet fish, the master himself wears glasses. One would think that this

If books like this get you through the night, so be it. But you might find Transcendental Meditation just as effective and a whole lot cheaper. Plus, you won't have the distraction of those "Divine Golden Rotating Healing Balls" hovering around you all day. I wonder if he has a "Divine Download" for gullibility?

I'm sorry, I've tried to put aside every ounce of human reasoning (a definite requirement) when reading this book, but I can't overcome much of what is written here. Divine Software? Divine Downloads? Healing chants requiring 2 hours a day for 6 months? I thought God created the entire world in only 6 days? Why,oh why, would God require you to chant for 6 months before He would consider healing you? Healing from God also comes at a premium on the good Doctor's website. Below is just a small sample of the healing "Downloads" for sale for just about every inch of your divine body. There's even a section of "Divine Downloads" for animals! Divine beaks, Divine feathers, Divine gills! I have always wondered about the soul. I finally found the answers to many of my questions in the book Soul Wisdom by Doctor Zhi Gang Sha.

The reading of Soul Wisdom has been an amazing experience that goes far beyond the intellectual activity of reading. I actually came to know my soul as a golden light being residing within my physical body. I learned that I could have conversations with my soul; we have become the best of friends. I learned that all of the organs of my body and the systems of my body also have souls and that these souls are constantly sending messages back and forth to each other. One day I asked my body soul to go to the souls of each of my organs and give each organ a blessing. This my body soul did and my organs and body systems were greatly rejuvenated. In celebration my body soul danced through my whole body giving light and love to each soul that was encountered. The experience was phenomenal and still is continuing to be so. If you've ever read Zhi Gang Sha's books, you'll know its no ordinary book. Often when I start each of his new books, I find I can't stay awake for very long. Its a very unusual sensation, the energy begins shifting in my body, and eventually I just can't take it any more. It usually takes me a few times before my energy permanently adjusts. What resonates the most for me is how simple, but profoundly effective the techniques are. They are so simple that before I try them it is hard to believe that they will actually work - but every time they do! Just as a simple example, I am 8 months pregnant and the other day I went for a very (too) long walk in 85 degree weather - needless to say by the last 30 minutes of the walk, I was exhausted and could barely walk (I wanted to hitchhike home!). My husband practiced some of the techniques in the book on the parts of my body that were most tired, and next thing I knew, I had a spring back in my step and made it the rest of the way home with lots of energy.
