This guide is an ok guide to get through the game, if you are ok with figuring some things out on your own. The locations of some items (health, ammunition,etc) on the maps are just plain incorrect. Other parts of the game tell you where to go, but don't even show you a map for that level and leave you turned around and without knowing where or if there is health and ammunition. There is a special section telling how to unlock each of the five endings, but doesn't actually explain what happens in each ending. However, the guide is very pleasing aesthetically complete with original artwork, the complete history of Silent Hill, a glossary of monsters, and a nice layout overall. It's just not as informative as it could have been.

Ok so if all you want to do is beat the game then this is ok.
but if you'd like to get the achievements or know where everything is it's terrible. First some of the maps are just plain drawing wrong. Then some of the actual directions don't make since like "don't turn left here instead turn left"!?! and then they don't show you were a third of the items are. and it's missing the locations of some of the drawings and pictures so you can't get the achievement using it. I will never buy a guide from Brady Games again!!!

This book is good. You can easily beat the game. Also all walkthrough information was nice. However map pictures are not good. Anyway it's perfect book with the game.
