Excellent game. No complaints at all!

Note: While my factory configured Mac hard disk DOES come with the Extended File system, the game notes insist that it is NOT supported? (That's VERY weird and it must be a typo, because I have had absolutely no hickups with this game. It's working perfectly and I've had it going for 4 days now).


I played Call of Duty 2 until I actually experienced fatique and sometimes had nightmares. It was simply awesome the way it sucked you in. I started at the lowest difficulty level, played through, and then went back to higher levels. I don't have a joy stick or game controller - I use my wireless keyboard and mouse.

One improvement is that they don't set you so far back when you are killed. It's only a few moments back in the action, not all the way back to the intro for that chapter. That was a very painful experienced I recalled from Call of Duty 2.


The new game was even better. It does load faster on this system, which is the same one I used for version 2. (where is version 3 people?)

I have no complaints. The game is engaging and entertaining. It's even more noisy, too, so I can't play it when anyone else in in the house - it really gets loud. I keep forgetting my new player's name and it takes me a while to figure out what the team leader is yell for me to do, but eventually, I catch on.

The graphics are simply stunning. Every pixel is alive and there is no one way to win in every senerio. I did have to use different keyboard commands then what I memorized for version 2, but that hasn't bothered me too much.

This game makes me very happy. I have not had to resort to any "cheats", as I'm apt to do with games like Laura Croft and Indiana Jones, which eventually make me wish I had a game controller (they require some double key actions that are harder from a keyboard or one button mouse).


This is a great game. I worked as advertised and it delivered spine chilling action scenes, where I got killed again and again.

Pulled my time in Somalia a while back. It feels like real combat having to make quick decisions,while being in a confusing situation. Started having PTSD all over again (LOL).
Really I am 43 years old and definitely not any kind of gamer,but it was easy to pick up. I bought the strategy book and that helped me a lot.
Well worth the money !!!

Simply put, this guide is really low on information.

The single player info is pretty sparse and the multiplayer info is just not that useful.

I asked a buddy whether he liked Oblivion more that Final Fantasy VII. He was dumbfounded and was about to suggest something, and then I cut in.

"It's like asking which I like better, Call of Duty 4 or Tetris. I can do that. I like Call of Duty 4 better."

Very helpful product, especially for a new player like me. In fact, I would say it is essential. The strategies and intel information are as good or better than those available online, yet are handy in nice, glossy paper content whenever you need the information. Screenshots are plentiful.

My major criticism is that the book focuses on online multiplayer action, so not as helpful to a single player like I am.

I would like to see more details on the game basics, such as on weapons (caliber, magazine capacity, stopping power, range, etc.), and strategies for why you would choose one weapon vs. another (there is some of this, but I would like more).

That said, it is very highly recommended for every player, and a must have at around $15, or less.

I'm not much of a gamer but my friends encouraged me to get this for my kids for their XBOX and told me I'd better get it for the PC because I'd never get a chance to play it on the XBOX...I'm glad they did...this is an amazing game...the storyline and graphics are tremendous! I highly recommend it.

I bought this guide mostly for help with some of the Xbox 360 achievements as well as to have pictures of the multiplayer maps. It does well enough in these areas, but as for tips on how to beat the game (particularly on the Veteran difficulty), I found this book to be lacking and vague. It does have some general tips for single player as well as multiplayer mode. If you're looking for layouts of the MP maps or some tips about good playing strategy, you might want to pick up this guide. Otherwise, I would suggest just using the internet for information when you are stuck in a certain spot.

Good info. For multiplayer, it gives a lot of class setup suggestions for different situatons, breaks down strategy for each map on each different type of game (i.e. Domination, Team Deathmatch, etc.), and lists details on all the different perks, challenges, XP points, etc.

Quickly looked over the single player section and it shows strategy as guides normaly do.

A beginner like me appreciates the detail of this strategy guide. Yeah, it's kind of like cheating but I still have to master the controls and make the character do what I need him to do. Also, this book is full of very cool art.

With all the new technologies and options available today it is necessary to have access to manuals to get you up & running. You can no longer just jump into gaming, especially if you are going online gaming.You do have to read the manual and understand the layouts, capabilities of this game.The graphics put you right into the battles and action. This game is unbelieveable with it's clarity, realism, scenerios all are fantastic!

With over 270 pages this guide was throughly researched and written. Being a player who starts this game with the easiest setting, this guide helped me find or destroy items that help you receive achievement points that I would have missed without this guide. It's easy to understand and having the maps is very helpful. The Table of Contents starts with The Introduction. Then Gearing Up for the Call. Third is Weapons. Number Four is Muiliplayer Coverage that includes Introduction, Basic Training, Map Tactics, Clans, Fun, and Master Unlockables List. The Fifth is Single Player Walkthrough that includes: Prologue, Act I, Act II, Act III, and Epilogue. Then Sixth you have Unlockables and Seventh and last is Xbox 360 Achievements. It states on the cover that the game is for the following consoles: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and lastly Windows PC. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who needs the slightest bit of help and for those who love Multiplayer Deathmatch, this guide is for you.
