This "tourism porn" is more like watching a cooking show than reading a cookbook, meaning it was great inspiring fun to sit back and see the sites as our always affable host traveled across Britain, but deep down this DVD wasn't a lot of help when it came to planning my trip. Oh, I recommend it, sure, it's great to watch, I love Rick Steves, but as far as assisting the planning of a vacation... Hence my cooking show/cookbook comparison up there. His actual guidebooks, however, are invaluable!
