all the walks ive looked at feature the lamest things London has to offer, if i didnt know better this book would have me calling off my trip so i wasnt bored, great concept, very different ideas of whats historically, Architecturally, or remotely interesting.

In general, I'm a big fan of the walks in Frommer's guidebooks. I think they're better-planned and better-described than in most other books, plus offer a nice mix of scenery, history, shopping, and eating along most walks.

Given that, I was disappointed when I browsed this book in the store. The page layout is nice, but a very high proportion of the walks seemed oriented to ghost stories, Jack the Ripper, and similar "spooky" or Gothic interests. Where are the historically-themed or literary walks? Also, while each walk seemed to have eating spots noted, I didn't see shopping mentioned. So, this book was a pass for me.
