This e-text is taken from a good edition of the Life of Johnson - the problem is that the text has been entered page by page, footnotes and all, so that after reading one page of text, you sometimes have to move through two or three pages of extensive footnotes before you get to the next page. I suppose it would be useful if you are searching for a particular passage, but it is not useful if you just want to read the Life of Dr. Johnson.
