The book is nothing less than fascinating. If the realm of the ancients holds your interest, read the book. Then draw your own conclusions. The case presented in this book about what the Ark really is, or was, makes more sense to me than a chest for God to inhabit while the Israelites made their way to Canaan.

Just because a book sounds scholary doesn't mean it is. In fact, other than some intersting insights into who Moses may have been, the rest of this book is perhaps the most ridicoulous book I have ever read. Bad science and bad history all reinterpreted to fit some bizarre theory that popped into this author's head one day. Try Searching for the Ark of the Covenant: Latest Discoveries and Research
