Routes are sorted into five regions: the Northern Emirates, East Coast, Hatta, Al Ain, and Liwa. All routes are described with satellite image full-color maps. UTM coordinates are provided for route finding. Hiking suggestions are provided along the four-wheel-drive routes. Color photographs and a sturdy case make this an attractive package. The back of the guide offers a good primer for off-road driving, first aid and other activities in the remote areas of the UAE. The guide describes plants and animals, recommends equipment, and offers detailed mapping.
