I have found soem great low cal desert recipes in this cookbook for those "baking challenged" people such as myself.

I love to cook and have stacks of cookbooks, but this one is the best of the bunch. I have the older version of this book, and every recipe I tried has been a huge crowd pleaser. Even my kids like these recipes. My husband's favorite meal used to be meatloaf with mashed potatos and gravy. Now he begs me to make turkey burgers. When I make a recipe from this book it seems to come out perfect the first time and every time after. I never knew healthy food could be so delicious. I think anyone would enjoy meals prepared from these recipes, even if your not on weight watchers.

I'll be honest and tell you I haven't actually tried any of the recipes but I have ear marked several pages and many look great. Plus there is a pretty good variety. My biggest beef is the lack of pictures. I find that without them, sometimes the name doesn't give me a clear picture of what the finished product should look like. I do like the little tidbits at the bottom of many pages regarding where to buy some possibly hard to find items or safety tips.

I use this book every week to plan my dinners. I work long hours and this has really great easy recipes to help keep me on track. I use a lot of the marinaded dishes so that when I get home from work all I have to do is put dinner in the oven. I love every recipe I've made!!

I like this book. I just wish it had more pictures. It is easier for me to make something that I can see a pictures of first.

I really like the book. There are very good recipies in it. I did not like some of the ingredients. Some ingredients are hard to find in the stores.

I was hoping for more vegetarian dishes, or at least things that were easily adaptable. Instead the meat dishes are really meat with a few other things, not like casseroles.

I am a woman of few words and as such I'll simply say "delicious". Each recipe is better and more exciting than the last. If you're trying to watch your weight and still enjoy good food...this is the cookbook for you.

A great companion to the Weight Watchers point system diet. I have used it many times. The recipes are tasty and easy to follow. It really lives up to it's title. I highly recommend it to anyone on this or any diet.

This cookbook has some wonderful solutions when you're short on points! You will be sure to fall in love with some recipes.

I purchased this book awhile ago and have made about 7 recipes so far and every single one of them have been delicious! This is a great low calorie, low fat book even if you're not doing Weight Watchers but just "watching". I highly recommend for anyone who is looking to cut calories and offer low fat, tasty foods, for their family.

Excellent! This one is great for those of us on Weight Watchers who hate to have to figure out points for our meals. this book gives great meals for the 8 point meals! No fuss, no having to guess how many points to track etc. I highly recommend it.

One of the best cookbooks! Because drinking diet cola was a daily ritual my friend gave me a copy of a book called the T_r_u_t_h about C_a_f_f_e_i_n_e. I read that those who drink cola may experience a decrease in bone density -- a precursor to osteoporosis, it made me think twice. Carbonated sodas -- especially colas -- are highly acidic. There is a whole lot more in this book and I highly recommended it.

The cookbook had lots of Weight Watcher recipes for 8 points or less. I tried several and found they were quick, easy and tasted good. I liked the book a lot - gave me ways to keep under my daily points.

This has some wonderful recipes. I would definitely recommend this one along with the WW NO fuss take out recipes. Some of these are a little too "grown up" for the whole family.

I have been using this book for a few months. The recipes I've tried are generally tasty, if sometimes bland, but it sorely needs an index by food, eg, beef, as another reviewer commented. Some of the recipes require creative thinking, and a bit of cooking experience. '3 large potatoes' can mean different things to different people, and if you want to use another type of potato? Equivalents in ounces or cups would be helpful. And "x cups of pasta" cooked?/uncooked? A novice would have a hard time with this. And some of the titles are more colorful than helpful. A meat salad doesn't mention the meat in the title, so finding it without an index is pretty difficult.

I love this book! It is so easy to read and the recipes are so appealing. I have only had this book a short time but I have already tried several recipe with each one living up to the book's description.

This is a great book for food ideas. If the 4 weight watchers books I own, this one I use the most. I find the food selections in here best meet what I want to eat. Often friends join me for dinner (2-3 times a week) and they always comment they can't believe I'm on a diet. Given that information, if you're fighting the battle of the bulge and your family's eating habits are not helping, this might be a good book for you to use.
One warning I would give about this book is that each of the meals do require some prep time. More then I was originally expecting. So this is not the "fastest" book in the group I purchased. But the trade off is the meals (when you double the amount) make for great lunches the following day or two. So in the end, I`ve expanded my skills in the kitchen, I've made a better tasting meal for friends and myself, and I've lost weight doing it. (Review Data Last Updated: 2006-07-07 14:03:08 EST)

Receipes are a little to complicated. Long lists of ingredients makes it hard to shop, and hard to cookup up a quick meal. Try the WTW "Cooking For 2" or "Slow Cooker" instead.

The food in this cookbook is YUMMY. The directions are very easy to follow. My only complaint is that there aren;t enough pictures. It's a GREAT addition to your cookbook library whether you are on a diet or not!!

I enjoy the recipes, which are often different from my other low fat cookbooks, and the information is very helpful. So far, everything I've tried has been tasty. But the index at the back is very poorly done! Categories are not listed, such as "potatoes" or "beef;" the list often gives only the names of the dishes, listed by words like "crispy," "roasted," "warm" or "creamy", which is frustrating when you are looking to find a recipe for the ingredients you have. The book is not organized in the most helpful way, either, with pictures in groups, rather than next to the recipes themselves.

SIMPLY WOULDN'T BE THE WORD I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN FOR THE TITLE OF THIS COOKBOOK. JUST GLANCING THROUGH IT, IT SEEMED OKAY. ONCE I ACTUALLY READ THE RECIPES IT SEEMED REPETICIOUS. I DEFINITELY LIKE THE TAKE-OUT TONIGHT BOOK BETTER.

This book contained a great deal of recipes that were just stuff that you wouldn't really cook. I found FOUR recipes I wanted out of it and I'm not a picky eater.

... is how many of the recipies turn out well the first time, and how many you would cook again. "Simply Delicious" meets both criteria. We haven't tried a recipe from this book we didn't like. Weight Watchers cookbooks are brilliant at presenting delicious and decadent recipes that won't leave you feeling deprived. For example, there's a yummy "Maple-Glazed Popcorn Snack Mix" with only 3 points (163 calories and 5 grams of fat) per serve. My husband didn't believe it was a Weight Watchers recipe, but made it anyway. Don't tell anyone, but we smuggle it into the movies! Then there's the "Cinnamon-Peach Almond Pancakes" and the "Confetti Corn Cakes", which make a great brunch with a little low-fat sour cream and smoked salmon on top. See what I mean about decadent?
