I consider it immoral to promote unproven treatments instead of the stuff that has been proven to work in hundreds of thousands of patients.
People die as a result of trying alternatives and delaying treatment. I've seen it. It's okay to use alternative therapies and diet in addition to, but not instead of the FDA approved treatments. There have been many studies, including sponsored by National Cancer Institute, which showed only small and inconsistent benefit of dietary changes when treating cancer.
And, actually, many treatments recommended by oncologists these days are not chemotherapy, but biological or targeted to your type of tumor.

This book should be in every household and readily accessible.
I found more information than I ever expected and all within reach if I choose to follow. I am surprised this hasn't been blacklisted.

Diet is an important part to health, and this book has a lot of good advice in that respect. However, one must always be circumspect when it comes to these types of self help books on cancer. Diet is not necessarily a ready cure for cancer, but it is an important part of the journey.

My wife was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2001 and succumbed to her cancer in March 2005. I only discovered Bill's first book six months before she died and had multiple conversations with him at the time. He was compassionate and patient and knowledgeable.

This book builds on his first one and is the best book on the market in terms of letting the reader know about the causes of cancer, why the pharma industry fights non-toxic approaches and what resources and approaches are available to the layperson who is struggling with cancer or is the caregiver.

I wish I had known about these approaches earlier. I have myself begun to research the role of sound vibrations in healing and have just released a healing chant called The Magic of Gayatri.

Good common sense approach to a natural healing. Great advice for all of the human race. Excellent reading.

There is a whole new world out there that every cancer patient should know about and Mr. Henderson opens a lot up for exploration. My research is brain cancer so it is a bit trickier to use certain things but I know now there are other possibilities besides radiation and chemo which in many cases is just extending life but at a horrible quality. There is so much information it became a bit overwhelming so I suggest reading with a big notepad beside you to take notes. I would recommed and encourage anyone to read this book.

In 2004, after being diagnosed with a invasive ductile positive estrogen driven breast cancer, I refused all conventional treatment, FIRED my oncologist and experienced a stunning recovery with Protocel, one of the non-toxic alternative treatments Bill Henderson covers in the "Self-Cancer Treatment" chapter of his wonderfully informative, "Cancer-Free".

When I discovered a lump over 4 years ago, what I wouldn't have given to have had Bill's expertise at my disposal, to go along with what I was doing.

"Cancer-Free" is not only well-written and easy to comprehend, but it's also an insightful, extraordinary source of knowledge for the person who has already figured out how "user-friendly" non-toxic treatments are to the body, how well they work and wants to learn even more. But, more importantly, for the person who is just now realizing there IS validity to the world of "alternative medicine" (in spite of how the medical profession relentlessly tries to convince everyone in this country otherwise) and is eager to understand what that world has to offer.

(Which is in direct contrast to today's world of so-called "modern" medicine (which is really "dark-age") that wants you and everyone else on the planet to believe, when it comes to cancer--you have none!)

Great book, lots of self-help advice for overall well-being, not just cancer. The included websites allow further research (so many I don't think I'll ever get through them all) on excellent sites. This book has greatly increased my understanding of cancer and the resources we can all use to combat this and many other diseases. A wonderful addition to any Wellness Library.

Given 1 out of every 2 men, and 1 out of every 3 women, in the U.S. will get a cancer diagnosis in their lifetimes, this book is a must read for every one of us. If we don't have cancer, we know 10 or more people who have it or have died from it. I was stage 3 almost 6 years ago, and refused all conventional treatment other than the initial operation. Bill's first book caught my eye midway through my struggle to beat down the metastaces (so far, successfully). He offers a compendium of solutions, some of which I had become aware of through other books, and some entirely new. This second book offers even more insight on the causes of cancer, and the logic that vastly changed lefestyle, mainly diet, is the path to remission. I have corresponded with Bill numerous times and he is a very compassionate and sensible person. I believe if we wanted to reduce medical costs for cancer in this country, we should direct all cancer patients to this book and close all cancer centers. The death rate would decrease, and far fewer people would spend their remaining months after chemo and radiation in total misery.

For anyone battling Cancer, you need to become informed. As Bill points out, you need to become smarter than your Oncologist, and believe me, after reading this book, you will be. What Bill so convincingly illustrates is that Oncologists all have horse blinders on with their primary goal to "poison, cut, or burn" cancer patients by peddling money-making drugs or procedures without understanding the human body and how it works (or outright disregarding how it works), and, ignoring simpler, gentler, more economical procedures that he so convincingly reports will help the cancer patient.

There is no better way to educate yourself on the topic of cancer than this book. I started doing research on Cancer when a family member was diagnosed and was always trying to find sources I could trust. This book takes care of all that. It has all the trustworthy links, websites, books,... you could ever imagine finding. In fact if there is one bad thing about this book, it is that it presents so much useful information that you feel overwhelmed in your effort to absorb it all, seek it out, and do your own additional research as he suggests. Yet another book with Cancer and Healing in the same sentence! I absolutely love the way Bill Henderson has put all this information into such a readable format. My only advice to those that use info from this book is to PLEASE TELL YOUR DOCTOR that you're doing so! Physicians need to know what works, as well as approaching cancer treatment in the more non-traditional ways (Tamoxifen or carrot juice? You decide which you'd prefer).

If you want hope that your cancer can be successfully treated, this is the book to read. It is informative and provides a plan of action that will improve your health and quality of life.

In July of 2005 biopsies confirmed that I had two malignant breast tumors. I was determined to not go the traditional way with radiation and chemo, so I started an intense search of books and websites. When I finally found Bill Henderson and his book "Cancer Free", I knew I had found the right protocol for me. A lumpectomy (which he did not recommend) found only one tumor and it had become very tiny. I have followed Bill's directions ever since and today I feel like a new person. At 81 I live alone, do all my own house work and gardening, and tell everyone that Bill Henderson is my hero. I either buy the book for my friends, or urge them to get their own. I'm looking forward to reading his new book. I know it will be a blessing also.

I believe this book provides an incredible program for anyone working to heal their body of cancer. I have used this book for the past 2-1/2 years and my doctors are stumped because I did no chemo or radiation and have been clean. I work very hard to make sure I am healthy, happy and clean. I read Bill's first edition & found it to be extremely useful. I am a cancer survivor & I learned from Bill that one must go after one's cancer from all directions. He laid out all the potential options (saving one hundreds of hours of research) for someone to prevent their cancer from coming back plus what to do if one had cancer. I found this book while searching online for information to help a friend diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer (metastasized) two years ago. Thankfully, she took the information in the earlier version of this book and RAN with it! One year later, she was 100% cancer free without the need for surgery, chemo, or radiation. She believes the diet changes and supplement regimen saved her life. I have implemented many of the recommendations in my own routine to help prevent cancer and other illness. Cannot recommend this book highy enough! The only frustration is knowing so many others who are diagnosed with cancer or have pre-cancer symptoms who are not willing to make the necessary changes to their diets and lifestyle even when presented with this information. I encourage you to take responsibility for your health and this book will get you started in the best possible direction!

I've read every word of Bill Henderson's first edition. It is a hugely valuable book -- and the second edition is bound to be even better. I'm a long-term cancer survivor myself and my husband is now a more recent cancer survivor, so this is familiar territory for us.

Here's something to think about: the number of people who have had cancer in the past, have it now, or will have it in the future is staggering -- and yet somehow we're still mostly ignorant about what to do and even afraid to talk about the subject. When people hear the word "cancer" they usually start planning their funerals. This is not healthy!

Bill Henderson has taken the subject out of the closet by describing dozens of possible remedies and telling us where to find them and how to use them. He offers a feast of hope and is passionate about helping people in a very practical way.

At this moment you probably know at least three people who could benefit greatly from something in this book -- and one of those people might be you.

I found Bill's first edition about 15 months ago while researching for an elderly aunt. What I took away from the pages was an overall approach to staying healthy. Cancer-Free's information is for everyone, not just those suffering from cancer. Within Cancer-Free's pages was information pertaining to the Budwig Protocol or diet. My husband and I began eating the cottage cheese, flax oil, flax seed combination every morning for breakfast. At my husband's last cardio checkup, his doctor was amazed at the reversal of what was deemed serious heart failure. We are confident the Budwig diet is responsible. I highly recommend this book to anyone who desires to take charge of their health.

My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer 5 years ago, he had his prostate removed and last year was told that cancer was back. The only hope our doctors gave us was dismal. I read the first edition of Cancer-Free last year, and I wish I had been exposed to the book a year and a half earlier before my mother was consumed by cancer and medicine side-effects. People everywhere ought to open their eyes to what all this cancer business is about. I did, in good part because of this book. People shouldn't wait to get cancer or have someone in their family suffer from it in order to get informed on the efficient, painless treatments and prevention of the disease.
