I learned a lot while reading this book and I believe anyone living in this great country should give it a read. The facts, as presented by Vincent Bugliosi, are compelling.

Certainly ones opinion of the president will influence the way one interprets the book, and the way one reacts to it. I honestly tried to keep an open mind and read the thoughts and the points of view. It worked for me, and I reacted in ways that surprised me. I suspect you will too.

It takes guts to be so moved, as Mr. Bugliosi is, to write such a bold and eye opening title to a book. He obviously did a fair amount of research, interviewed many people, and read a lot of articles and newspapers. Readers of this book will benefit from it all.

This is an excellent read. I hope that every American reads this and wakes up to the fact that we were lead to believe something that was not true, by our President and his party, in whom we put our utmost trust at the detriment to our country and the millions of lives lost and shattered by such an evil, evil man.

There is nothing unique about George W. Bush. He murders, like almost all presidents before him, because he is deceived into thinking he can "do good" by controlling the fates of others. That is God's province. It is deadly sin to intrude on it. He, and all people who believe in earthly government, will spend eternity in Hell. God answers all prayer, meets all needs. Go and sin no more.

I am not a criminal lawyer, but have practised litigation for over 20 years, so I was most interested in how the legal case held together. Not sure I'm entirely there on his conclusions. First, if the "criminal acts" are the lies, then the case seems to fail because it is not the lies that caused American soldiers to be killed. If Bush had no authority under the Constitution or Congressional vote to send the soldiers, then the fact that he lied to get the American public and Congress on board is legally irrelevant. The act that got them killed is sending the troops to Iraq, an act that only happened in DC. But if you believe he has made a case, then hasn't he also made a case that every soldier there now could be prosecuted for murder of Iraqis? After all, they now know that their reasons for being there are unlawful. Simple factual errors weaken his persuasive content (such as stating that of course all 4,000 soldiers killed are U.S. citizens). What comes through most clearly is how angry the author is. Much of what he says is supported and needs to be said, but his anger will cause him to be dismissed more easily by those who don't want to accept the truth of the underlying message. Richard Clarke and the 9/11 Commmission Report make the same points more objectively and hence more persuasively.

This is a solid, convincing and masterful work. Should be mandatory reading for all Americans.

I am trembling with fury and outrage and anger and disgust. I've finished Mr. Bugliosi's book and I am in a particular kind of awe and respect I've not felt for anyone for a long time. He sets out the case for the arresting of this twisted little monster and his main toadies with specificity, with facts, with knowledge.

He describes the monster in chief with such truth and such loathing, and tells us how this "man," chosen by God, the Supreme Court and utter morons, suffered on various days of the mad beyond words carnage he perpetrated.

Smiling. Laughing. Working out. Not giving a damn. On a December day a few months after 9/11, he was asked what kind of year it was. With his goofy smirk, he replies "it was a good year for Laura and me."

There are pictures in the book. I couldn't look at some. The horrible faces of hell this morally sick, mentally twisted entity and his minions lied us into..and the most repellent pictures are of this pathetic piece of a "man" and his galling gallery of grins.

Bugliosi nails the press also. These smiling hair styles who sit in front of a camera, with no apparent back bone holding them up, saying what they are told, in their nitwit style of journalism.

The book encompasses great compassion for the dead, the mangled, the
grieving, the monstrous loss of life to people in Iraq, and with such carefully chosen words, transcends, dispenses, diagnoses, interprets with logic, clarity and fairness in a book filled with such righteous wrath that is done with dignity and judicidiousness.

The legal processes for charging him and his crime family are laid out specifically, with copious notes and solid legal maneuvers. The faces on the end papers, the madness that has destroyed a country and is destroying ours are all here. The words sting and burn with courage and knowledge and a single bright flame of integrity. To be read and to cause weeping.

This is one fine, one great, one helluva prosecutor. Read this book. Its words make me bleed inside. And this bleeding is not going to stop. It mingles with the blood of endless blood letting that will never go away. Not ever.

The finest book I've read on this monstrosity America has turned into. If there is a God and he didn't choose this sickness as a way of life, then I hope every one of these sniveling cowardly cretins and liars, deep in dementia fry in God's hell forever more. How Bugliosi contained himself in restraint laced with outraged I can't imagine--

--He prosecuted the Manson crime family. Here's to the same success with prosecuting the Bush-Cheney crime family. Here's a hopeful date for Mr. Bush and old Sparky. Jim Thompson wrote a lot about hell here on earth. Perhaps the title of his novella might fit the ultimate fate of these so godly patriotic "men and women":

The Prosecution of George W Shrub for Murder is a most provocative title; and it delivers. Bugliosi makes it clear that all we need to put this liar / killer behind bars is the outrage of the relatives/loved ones of the 4100 men and women killed in the Cheney / Bush-League's phony war. As a competent / accomplished Los Angeles County prosecutor (age 73) he knows a good case, and any prosecutor worth his salt can bring this case to trial. Bugliosi develops the case on two easily provable lies of the little Bush, either of which can convict him of murder. And don't worry, we don't even want impeachment, that'll let him off the hook. Yah gotta read it.

If the Vincent Bugliosi that wrote this book was the same one that prosecuted Charles Manson, Manson surely would have been found Not Guilty and would probably be a major recording star for years, if he could keep himself from killing anyone.

Where to begin with this silly book? The book would better serve as Exhibit A in getting Mr. Bugliosi committed for suffering from Bush derangement syndrome. What he calls evidence is pitifully, laughably weak.

George Bush is guilty of murder because...he had a hearty breakfast....because he enjoyed himself at his daughters wedding. This is what Mr. Bugliosi cites as evidence of George Bush's guilt.

He actually believes that every other president that declared war was somber 100% of the time. This is ridiculous. Only one example will suffice. FDR was giving it to Lucy Mercer during WWII. Obviously, FDR didn't care about the soldiers. What moron would make that case? If you buy Mr. Bugliosi's arguments, you would have to make it, though I doubt any of the suffers of Bush Derangement Syndrome would pick on FDR for this.

Finally a courageous man has come forth to identify the absurdity of an administration that wove a web of mendacity spewing forth lies of weapons of mass destruction, Hussein's connection to Al-Qaeda and the 9-11 attacks thus causing thousands of the bravest of our nation to be murdered as well as being responsible for the deaths of over a hundred thousand innocent Iraqi civilians.

Never before has the observation by W.B. Yeats been more appropriate, "It is the sacrifice of the best of us by the worst of us.", and thank God that Vincent Bugliosi realizes this and has taken action to attempt to bring to justice those "worst of us" responsible for this needless and terrible carnage.

Mr. Bugliosi legally and logically lays out the case against Bush, and if we do not follow through on the prosecution of this despot, then future generations will look back upon us stunned at our remiss in judgment and with disgust at our lack of courage.

I wonder how Charles Manson would review this book?

All I can say, what is it that the legal world is doing nothing? The case against W is clear, solid and a cake walk, if only someone will take the first step. I guess, despite what the author thinks about the JFK case, no one wants to be as brave as the only one to bring a court case in the assassination, Jim Garrison. A lot of fear in taking this to court, but it must be done.

And, for that matter, where is the press in regard to this book and what it contains?

In The Prosecution of George W. Bush For Murder, Mr. Bugliosi makes clear not only his righteous outrage over the clear criminal activity of the current President of the United States, but actually lays out a legal argument that could be used as a basis for indicting and convicting Bush for not only mass murder, but war crimes, genocide, and various other nefarious acts.

In biting, no holds barred language, Bugliosi takes the entire Bush Administration to task, showing that not only is the current White House occupant guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, as well as treason, but shows how this man must clearly be a sociopath due to complete lack of empathy towards those he has ordered off to war under false pretenses.

Any prosecutor worth his salt must read this book, and all Americans, pro Bushies and anti-Bushie alike, should take the time to sit down and hear the truth about our glorious leaders of today.

This is one of the greatest and truest books I have read for ages! He really covers it well and repeats the worst aspects of the entire mess as it appears we have to do as it seems people are shocked into submission by what has gone on. Otherwise we'd see much more obvious anger than we have! We have to think about also that the Patriot Act wasn't written during the night of September 11, 2001, so that obviously was in the wings waiting to be foisted upon the people. And since the terrorists supposedly didn't like our freedoms, the elite are seeing that those are being eroded subtley but surely, a little at a time! Thank you Mr. Bugliosi for taking precious time to lay it on the line! You are a true patriot and care about America and its people! That speaks volumes.

Bugliosi has a precise and orderly mind. He gives relentless example after example of intentional lies, obstruction, and hiding that has resulted in so many deaths.

This book is a good reminder of how numb we have become listening to our politicians sidestep issues, lie, and cheat, with full impunity and immunity, because putting Bush's Iraq was history in a legal framework with logic and commonsense, and without the media's politic glisando, helps to see Bush & Co's war for wat it is: murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Impeachment is not enough. You don't fire someone and send them home with a pension for murder.

The more I read, the more I continue to be disgusted. If the death penalty is ever appropriate, Bush is the case.

Bugliosi makes a hell of a case against our President. No doubt he's a smart highly educated lawyer and author, but instead of agreeing with whether or not Mr. Bush deserves to be prosecuted, I'm going to dwell in the fact that only in America a book like this can become a best seller, for thank God we can still enjoy freedom of speech and thought in our country.
As a former Cuban exile I dare say that if our President were found guilty of murder, his punishment shouldn't be harsher than a slap on the wrist in contrast to the atrocities committed by the Castro Brothers against the Cuban people consistently for over fifty years.
Yet, my friends, instead of an indictment against these murderes for genocide, the Castros according to a recent article published by Forbes Magazine have amassed a one bilion dollar fortune elsewhere in the world at the expense of Cuban suffering and blood.

I have always been doubtful of the capabilities of GW Bush (to put it politely) and since 911 I have been deeply upset at the loss of so many lives. This book makes a solid case of evidence against Bush and his cronies but also calls to question the judgement of the American people and media. What did Bush do post 911 that made him great in so many eyes? Why is American playing along with Mr Liar Supreme? Mr Bugliosi gives us hope that there is a possibility of justice in the future and I hope deeply inspires those prosecutors with the power to indict the worst president ever for murder.

This book gives the American public another side of the Iraq Scandal they didn't know, about Bush and the scandal before and after the invasion of Iraq. This book should be required reading for High School students across America. It lets the public know, that there is a whole more information that was only allowed to a privileged few. Maybe, it will open some eyes.

Our prosecutor says President Bush lied sufficiently when he called Hussein an imminent threat and had WMD to charge him with misrepresentation of the reasons to go to war. Our prosecutor says Bush had read a CIA document before his testimony that said that Hussein was not an imminent threat and would only become one if he were to be attacked.

1. The legitimate powers of a President require him to evaluate intelligence conclusions based on his exposure to a variety of other sources and allies. Reading a CIA report is neither the beginning nor the end of those responsibilities. When Truman was President he requested advice from the Navy and other intelligence sources if dropping the A bombs were necessary. The Naval report said it was not necessary to use the bombs, that the Japanese would surrender unconditionally within a very few weeks after a land invasion of the mainland, due to their armed forces state of exhaustion. Truman's intelligence officers took a very different point of view. They argued that the military clique around the Emperor was still very powerful and would convince the Emperor to fight a war of attrition against the invasion forces. The purpose being to allow Japan to avoid unconditional surrender by inflicting such heavy casualties on the invasion forces that the US would accept a negotiated settlement. So they argued that using the bombs was required to bring about Japan's unconditional surrender. Truman, enforcing our war aim of requiring Japan's unconditional surrender choose not to take the Navy's advice after he had read reports from both sides. Since Truman read a report (the Naval Intelligence one) saying that the dropping of the bombs were not necessary two days before he came to the American people with his speech announcing his decision to drop them, would our Prosecutor say Truman was lying?

2. The CIA report was a guess as what Hussein would or would not do in the future. Most perjuries require evidential lying about things in the past - i.e. where the specific truth can be fixed and, thus, comparison made between testimony given and what someone had to know was the truth. The CIA reports was a guess about the future. How one can know the future is beyond me.

3. If our prosecutor wanted a tighter case he should have claimed that Bush deliberately misrepresented the CIA report - and this part of his testimony was the sole, or primary, trigger propelling us into war, in his testimony.

4. Assuming Hussein had no operational part in 9/11, clearly America was justified in its war against Al Qaeda. And, if so, aren't we justified in attacking any of Al Qaeda's allies? When Japan attacked us we declared war on them and Italy and Germany. Wasn't that justified simply on the grounds that they were Japan's allies - whether they formally declared war on us or not? Italy had no operational part in Japan's attack on Pearl harbor.

5. Is not one of the responsibilities of a President to determine if a nation is at war us with, whether that nation has officially declared it or not? Can anyone doubt that Hussein's Iraq engaged in repeated military hostilities against the United States and allied themselves with others who did the same?

6. Can critics know that Iraq and Al Qaeda were not allies? Al Queda has been in Iraq since before the this war. They weren't attacking Hussein then. They are attacking us now. Is this not sufficient evidence that Hussein and Al Qeada had an alliance?

If you idolize Alan Dershowitz, Bill Clinton, and F Lee Bailey, and hate George Bush and capitalism, I highly recommend this book. Vinnie argues convincingly to his choir that Bush is a war criminal and needs to be hauled before the Hague before he's turned over to the Taliban for beheading, as I gather from a quick skim.
Vinnie's the guy who convicted Charles Manson, remember, so he's obviously a genius when it comes to the law.. Oh, you already knew that? Did you also know John Kerry fought in 'Nam?
Vinnie once claimed OJ's acquittal was an "Outrage" because of inept prosecution, i.e. Bugliosi didn't run things. Why the outrage? Because the defense was able to convince a hostile jury that LA police might have planted evidence, something ridiculously far-fetched. That was the whole premise of "Outrage" 's brilliant analysis. About a month after its publication, evidence emerged that LA police HAD been planting evidence rather routinely when they believed their suspect was unequivocally guilty. Vinnie, he so smart!!
So here's another book by the same mastermind. You're better off not buying this book and just making a donation directly to "Hillary in '12". But buy it anyway, you Bush-haters just can't get enough.

One of the best books of the year, but I don't expect the press and the general public will welcome it, as it tears holes in some common "conventional wisdom." It's a shame, as Bugliosi really assembles an excellent case for his claim.

Very well written ,with lots of logical thinking. The author makes you feel the problems and want to do something about them. The information will open your eyes to some cover-ups you probably didn't know about, along with the rest of the USA. His view is a bold one.Even if you don't agree with his ideas, this book is an excellent read.

Packed with facts yet not written in a "legalese" format difficult for the layman. Everyone should read it.

This book has been blacklisted by the mainstream media who are frightened of the content, and is not even in the top 100 Amazon books even though Bugliosi's other books have all been bestsellers. If you've been paying attention the past 8 years, you already know George W should be in jail, but this book spells it out for those who have been asleep during the Bush regime. I only hope someone acts on Bugliosi's recommendations and actually charges GWB with murder.

Sounds like someone hasn't gotten over the fact that his 15 minutes of fame is long gone. "Look at me, I'm an Attention Whore!" Light reading, indeed... I assume there will also be retroactive prosecutions of, let's see, oh yeah: LBJ, FDR, Woodrow Wilson, and a case could probably be made against Abe Lincoln... The list is quite long LOL! Save your money and be patient. I guarantee this book will be a penny book (like many of his other books) within 3-4 months of release.

The book fully deserves five stars and I would encourage everyone to read it. While I fully agree with his assessment of W's character, and inexplicable free ride he's gotten, I wish the author had tempered his language and tone. Those who most need to read this will put it down before getting into the heart of the compelling legal argument. A very satisfying read for those of us who have had to watch in horror while this administration dragged us down over the past eight years, but is it preaching to the choir?

And he not only believes that President Bush and some of his advisors are guilty of murder and should be prosecuted for it, but he lays out a reasonably convincing argument that it can be done entirely within the limits of existing law.

Bugliosi, mostly famous for his handling of the Manson family case, is a clever lawyer. (In another book, he convinced me that O. J. Simpson was not only guilty of murder but could have been convicted if the case had been properly handled.) Bugliosi did his homework here. He's given thought to just about all the arguments that the defense could make, such as "self defense", and describes the proper jurisdiction and other legal issues in plain, if impassioned, language. (He must play a good chess game.) His style is a vigorous first-person. You don't have to be familiar with the US penal code, Paragraph 10, Subsection A, Page 3, in order to understand Bugliosi's agenda. Nor are there pages full of italicized direct quotes. References (some missing) appear in end notes.

Bugliosi dislikes George W. Bush and his cabal. If nothing else is clear, that is. I'm just going to flip through the books and pick out a few phrases he applies to Bush, his staff, and his idolators: cowardly, egregious, unbelievable, extremely bizarre, gang of thugs, advanced case of incuriosity, preternaturally lazy, frivolous, grossly irresponsible, mental paraplegic and candidate for a mental poverty program (about a Democrat who lauded Bush), lying, terminally idiotic, moral mongrels, criminal.

Not that Bugliosi doesn't give the administration any credit at all. "I'll say this about Bush and Cheney. Although they are both unusually small men in every sense of the word other than physical size, they have the gonads of 10,000 elephants."

Does Bugliosi lay out a cogent brief? Yep. Will the prosecution of George W. Bush for murder ever take place? Nope. There's no general motivation for such a prosecution. We've already worn ourselves out in a ridiculous impeachment of the previous president. However, as Bugliosi points out, there is no statute of limitations for murder. The possibility will always remain hanging in the air, though it will probably not interfere with Bush's golf game, and the charge can be brought by any Attorney General in any state that has suffered a casualty as a result of Bush's acts -- meaning any of 50 states.

My ultimate opinion: It would be very interesting to see Bush and the rest face Vincent Bugliosi in court.

You don't have to be familiar with the US penal code, Paragraph 10, Subsection A, Page 3, in order to understand Bugliosi's agenda.

Bugliosi dislikes George W. Bush and has cabal. If nothing else is clear, that point is. I'm just going to flip through the books and pick out a few descriptive phrases he applies to Bush: cowardly, gang of thugs, lazy, frivolous, irresponsible, lying, moral mongrels, criminal.

Not that Bugliosi doesn't give the administration any credit at all. "I'll say this about Bush and Cheney. Although they are both unusually small men in every sense of the word other than physical size, they have the gonads of 10,000 elephants."

Does Bugliosi lay out a cogent brief? Yep. Will the prosecution of George W. Bush for murder ever take place? Nope. There's no general motivation for such a prosecution. We've already worn ourselves out in a ridiculous impeachment of the previous president. However, as Bugliosi points out, there is no statute of limitations for murder. The possibility will always remain hanging in the air, though it will probably not interfere with Bush's golf game, and the charge can be brought by any Attorney General in any state that has suffered a casualty as a result of Bush's acts -- meaning any of 50 states.

My ultimate opinion: I think it would be very interesting to see Bush and the rest face Vincent Bugliosi in court.

Let me preface this brief comment in two ways:
- I have NOT read this book.
- I am decidedly "left wing" and I believe Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al. are war criminals who should be prosecuted.

Having said that, the sole purpose of this "review" is to say that I have read Mr. Bugliose's book on the O.J. Simpson matter and found the author to be an insufferable blowhard. Whatever skills he may have as a trial attorney only worked to spoil his narrative and argument. He seemed to think that the book was about him and repeatedly asserted that he would have successfully prosecuted the case. And, by the way, I agreed with his premise (i.e. that Mr. Simpson was guilty as sin).

I can't imagine this book will be free from intrusion by the author's considerable ego. Shop around and read some reviews before deciding which books to read about this vitally important topic.

Just when the Bushies thought it was safe to go back into the water, Vincent Bugliosi informs us it's not safe...and he does it with flair. As this pitiful Bush presidency winds to a close, Bugliosi does the nation a great service...telling readers why Americans need to be reminded of the many aspects of this man's failure and how the United States will take years to recover. Keeping Bush under the broiler is Bugliosi's forte. Sentences, paragraphs and pages stand out in this book but none is so telling as to remember that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. The mess that followed is indeed criminal and Bugliosi takes it step by step in making his case.

I'm grateful to the author for including the hapless and spineless media in his sights, but I think he's too kind to Dennis Miller and doesn't do enough justice to Sandra Day O'Connor....the Supreme Court Justice who gave us "the gift that keeps on giving"....George W. Bush. "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" should be required reading...especially for those who want to pull the lever for John McCain and keep the charade going.

A few items I noted from these books: 1) Bugliosi describes himself as a critical person, 2) Bugliosi is sympathetic to left wing causes, 3) Bugliosi believes the juries have to be spoonfed like small children, 4) Bugliosi is a famed prosecuter who intially made his name by getting Charles Manson convicted in an infamous multiple murder case, and 5)
Bugliosi believes that incompetence is the norm, rather than the exception. In short, he has a rather high opinion of himself, and a rather low opinion of others, especially right wing conservative evanagelical Christians.

As for this book, Bugliosi says that he couldn't get the book published in an easy fashion in spite of its alleged appeal, but had to go to several publishers, before finding one who agreed to publish this travesty.

The knock against the book was that it was "too hot to handle". Bugliosi himself said that the book is "revolutionary". My own opinion is that the book is a product of a very troubled mind. As Freud was quoted to have said of troubled people: "They make worse what they seek to cure." Bugliosi admits his troubled state of mind, but he blames others for what he feels must be a fault that lies outside of himself. If he could only see what is clearly in the mirror each morning.

I am not a lawyer, not having being trained for the work. But I have read the Constitution a few times. I have also read the Federalist Papers. I can't see anything good resulting from a prosecution of George W Bush for murder. Instead, I feel it could make matters infinitely worse. It is not only my opinion, apparently, but also of several publishers, many of whom would not sign off on the book. It is curious that Bugliosi did not take the hint, and went ahead with this book. He attributes the publishers reluctance to the fear that he believes that infected the "once great land" that the "criminal" George W Bush is leading.

In his mind, he is already the judge, jury, and executioner of George W. Bush. It doesn't enter his thinking that he may be wrong. But never mind. He is the expert, having gotten convictions on all his cases except one. In all those cases, could he not have been wrong, and thus wrongly convicted, at least one of those defendants?

He says we must open our minds to that which is clearly in front of us, if we would only see. Yet he himself cannot see what his course of action may lead to. His own suggested course of action which sprung from his own self-confessed, troubled mind.

He has thrown down the gauntlet. Yet for every gauntlet that is thrown down, there is somebody out there willing to pick it up. Perhaps he has not thought that one through carefully enough. It is hard to see how this society, or any society can live in peace with itself if one faction is attempting to annihilate another faction. Rather, each
faction must be willing at some point to come to an understanding before resorting to extreme measures. As Madison said in the Federalist Papers: Faction is to Democracy as Air is to Fire. Thus, you can't have one without the other. To eliminate one, eliminates the other, and therefore the cure is worse than the disease.

Update:

I looked up the legal definition of murder in the US Code. Murder is the unlawful killing of another human being with malice aforethought. Since Bush had authority to use force from Congress, it is problematical how this situation fits the definition. Malice aforethought is also problematical in my humble opinion. The part that alleged lying plays in Bugliosi's argument would be irrelevant without Congress taking specific action with regards to the alleged lying. Only Congress can give authorization, only Congress can take it away. Congress hasn't taken it away yet, so evidently they don't feel that Bush lied to them, or don't care enough to do anything about it. Therefore, Bugliosi's argument is not a serious one.

Update II:
With respect towards the question of malice, Bugliosi has not demonstrated that malice on the part of Bush existed. Why would Bush want US soldiers to die? But what he convinced me of is his own malice toward Bush, and this provides the example that shows how what he says about Bush cannot be true. For example, it is clear that Bugliosi HATES Bush and would like to see him convicted and executed. For Bugliosi to go to court to convict and execute Bush is analogous to what Bush did by going before Congress and asking for authorization to use force in Iraq. The use of force resulted in deaths. War always, or almost always does. Likewise, the use of force against an individual (an execution) results in a death of that individual. It is clear from his own expressed hatred of Bush that Bugliosi has the "guilty mind" down pat for his own murder of Bush. What he is missing then is the "guilty act". For that, he would need a kangaroo court that would deprive Bush of a fair trial and a decent respect for justice. If Bush were to be convicted and executed by such a court, then it would not be justice, it would be murder. Since Bush did not bear hatred toward US troops that Bugliosi has for Bush, it is the example that shows that Bush bore no malice towards the troops and could not be guilty of murder.

Update III:

I think it can be called into question that Bush lied about WMD in Iraq prior to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. I decided to have a look at the definition of lying in the wikipedia. Here it is: "To lie is to state something one believes is false with the intention that it be taken for the truth by someone else." So, according to this definition, Bush would have to have known in advance that there was no WMD in Iraq before the invasion. Somehow, he would have to have gotten the necessary intelligence that demonstrated without a shadow of a doubt that there were no WMD in Iraq, but decided to mispresent the situation by claiming that there was WMD anyways with the intent that it be taken as truth by Congress. Bugliosi has not produced any intelligence that shows Bush had to know this, and therefore knew in advance, even before going before Congress and asking for authorization to use force, that Iraq had no WMD. Therefore, Bush couldn't have lied.

Update IV:

One more thing in conclusion: Somewhere in the book, and I'd have to use valuable time to go look it up, and it isn't really worth my time, Bugliosi claimed or appears to me that he claimed, that he had no political motivation to write this book. Yet, toward the end of the book, he asks a number of political questions which appeared to me to be intended to help persuade one to the Democrat point of view. Therefore, he contradicted himself. Now, he either knows that or he doesn't. If he does know that he contradicted himself, then he must be a liar. If he doesn't know, he must be a loon. In either case, he hasn't any credibility on that issue. And for that reason, there is ample reason to be sceptical of this book.

It lays out a summary in a series of articles and should whet the appetite of any intellectually curious person.

Before I read this book, I thought "Yeah, right! Prosecute Bush for murder. What a pipe dream!"But this is no pipe dream! Bugliosi faithfully lays out the facts and meticulously documents every charge he makes against Bush and his co-conspirators, then builds a legal framework for a potential indictment against him/them. This book gives every thinking person anywhere, here or abroad, hope that finally, justice is as close as a District Attorney with enough courage to prosecute. At the very least, Bush will realize that even if an indictment is not looming right around the corner, a seed has been planted that indeed a prosecution is possible and winnable. In an era of complacency and in a land of fools too lazy to search out the truth, Bugliosi demonstrates that it will take only one DA with enough love for this country and the gonads to stand up and do what's right for her to bring a privileged murderer to justice.

.. but now, after reading it -- I have come to believe it's a MUST READ for every single American citizen over the age of 16! Hopefully, for once -- this book can raise the hackles and awareness of the teaming sheeple to FINALY STAND UP! -- DO SOMETHING PEOPLE!!! -- There's an EVIL DIABOLICAL ROT in the White House and it MUST BE MADE TO PAY - and then FUMIGATE the dang building before the rest run away!

What an indictment. Mr Bugliosi is clearly a law and order conservative, and could care less what party Bush heads. He bashes the entire administration (the buck clearly stopping with GWB), the CIA, the media (yes, even the liberal media), deflects expected counter arguments that "Clinton's guilty of murder too", "Bush was acting out of self-defense", etc.. And reminds us citizens of our part in this truly tragic piece of American history This is not entertainment or satire, but the horrifying reality of the people WE Americans put in by a landslide. As one blogger said, "if WE let this administration get away with these crimes, WE are all as guilty as them". This nation needs to account to the world for our illegal, imperialistic invasion of a sovereign nation and can start by bringing this administration to accountability. WE can start by reading this book. Support your local library.

Patent audacity. All administrations make mistakes, Mr Bugliosi, and President Bush was hardly alone in his assessment of the intelligence on Iraq's nuclear program. Having said that, I'm not sure we know, even now, what dangers were real or just perceived. Either way, to even suggest that this President or any other would have knowingly risked one soldier's life under false pretense is offensive and shameless. Doubtless, the book's almost gleeful reviews are written by liberals (masters of the lower brain stem response) who are hungry for any imagined validation of their grossly flawed thinking. It doesn't seem to matter how many times a liberal mantra has been countered with the truth; George Bush never linked Iraq to 9/11. That's just one of countless facts your readers don't want to be confused with. I guess its hard to take notes when you're writing with a large #2 pencil.

This book is a quick read. The logic and legal theory are sound and stand invincible to careful scrutiny. You can see why Bugliosi was so successful as a prosecutor. It is obvious from Bugliosi's arguments that Bush and many in his administration are certainly "guilty," of murder by U.S. law. The question remains: "Will somebody in authority doing anything about it?" Independent polling reveals that over 40% of americans (120,000,000 U.S. citizens or more, alone) believe that the Bush regime is a criminal enterprise (and a majority of them believe the worst ever). Sadly, there are a whole host of "high crimes and misdemeanors" from which to choose. 9/11 false flag terror murdering american citizens, illegal wars of aggression, kidnapping, torturing, and killing U.S. and foreign nationals, violating the constitution, genocide, violating the Geneva Convention and therefore U.S. law, illegal spying and on and on. Perhaps in our lifetime we will see the full extent of all their crimes and also see the justice it demands. Impeachment and then proceeding with the prosecution outlined in this book is a good first step. Thank you Vincent.

I just finished this book, and must say this I'm floored. We have heard bits and pieces of how we've been maninpulated into submission as a country into the policies of the Bush administration, but this book is a scathing commentary on both the administration and sadly, of ourselves. The parts about Bush being on vacation for 36% of his administration to date while soldiers are dying in Iraq is bad enough, but the shifting from "weapons of mass destruction" to "al-Queda" to "freedom for Iraq" as our raison d'etre for thousands of deaths in Iraq made me extremely sad and depressed about the state of our country. This is an important book and one that will surely be controversial. I'm sure the right wing in this country will try to discredit what's here, but remember that they are the ones who impeached Clinton for very minor and victimless offenses (under the guise of investigating a bad land deal and spending $70 million of taxpayers money) while we have mortgaged our international reputation, committed a TRILLION dollars to fight the wrong enemy (ie last I checked, Bin Laden is still at large and nowhere near Iraq) all the while cutting taxes to the richest 1% of Americans by $1.3 million.

Read this, then write your congressman to do their job and put this guy and his cronies in jail where he belongs.

I was born and raised in California and have admired and respected Mr. Bugliosi since I was a child. He is far from a no-name as some reviewers have claimed, nor is he a pawn of propaganda. If there is anyone out there these days who can objectively see the cold hard facts it is him. If he believes that a case can be made against Bush, people need to listen. Listen on behalf of this nation that we all say we love.

When I joined the Army, I believed that I would be serving my country, not serving the deranged interests of one man. Yet here I am in Iraq, torn away from my infant, firstborn son and thrown into harm's way. This book was sent to me as a gift. When I opened the cover and saw the collage of pictures, I crumpled to the ground as I looked straight into the face of one of my friends who died less than two years ago, someone who had bigger dreams in life than to lose his lung to a sniper's bullet. I thought of my other friends who were killed and maimed because of this cataclysm that some people call the global war on terrorism. To those who think that this book is just some kind of diatribe, I ask, why shouldn't Mr. Bugliosi be angry? Why shouldn't I? Why aren't you? All of this death and destruction, and Bush thinks he can achieve solidarity with us by giving up golf??! Well, Mr. President, you can keep your golf game! Give back Kenny Bostic. Give back Brandon Stout. Give back Rob Eppich. Give me back a normal life, and my son's babyhood. Give America back all of her money and her good name.

Those of you who haven't read the book, you have no business reviewing it. Those of you who have, I dare you to tell me that I shouldn't be angry.

I ask. When will this subject be taken to task? Once the fear is wrestled from the public minds. Then we will have begun the process to remove this kind of psychopathy in leadership of societies around the world. Light your fires in all minds, I say. The purpose being the rightness in bringing all these people, corporation and entities to justice. You do not possess freedom. If you do not possess personal security and privacy.

This is the most compelling, well organized, rational look in print at the most massive foolish delusion in American history. Bugliosi has put together a dead bang winner of an argument as to why Mr. George W. Bush should be executed for the murder of over 4,000 American troops who have been slaughtered during his cockeyed misadventure in the Middle-East.

Bugliosi asks, in utter amazement, how Bush could not have been booted from office for the absolute incompetence, gross negligence and lazy indulgence that permitted the deaths of the 3,000 innocent office workers in the 9/11 debacle. The idiocy of the American public in praising this neer do well of a president, one who has forever cheapened the title, by his inaction before and his ill conceived actions after the attacks of his favorite date leaves the author and this reviewer astonished.

What should have led to his immediate ouster from office was turned by some miracle of concerted mis-perception into an act that should have been expected from a competent national leader. After having ignored repeated pleas from Clinton's team on foreign security regarding Al Qaeda and the imminence of its threat to America's security before the attack and thereafter, in response, attacking and occupying Iraq which had not a thing to do with the 9/11 attacks, nor possessed any WMDs nor posed the least bit of a threat to anyone on American soil he and his GOP were somehow regarded as the best group to keep us safe from the scattered bands of religious fanatics who actually did attack us. To stop these small groups Bush turned to the facilities modeled on a 20th Century war machine and its tactics.

As we all have seen what he did was fulfill Bin Laden's dream scenario and increase the tall maniac on a camel back's strength in spades by acting in the way Bin Laden could only have prayed to his Allah for, increasing by multitudes the Arabs who will hate and hurt us for centuries to come. Any sense of a propitious response has been virtually ignored by nearly every elected official and nearly every media reporter.

How could this have happened Bugliosi wonders?! He points to Einstein's pronouncement that there are only two things that are infinite: Space and the Stupidity of Human Beings. Although the good professor added that he wasn't as sure about the former. Bugliosi is befuddled by the immensity of the events that followed the terrible attack and will make anyone who reads his analysis as bewildered as he is by the public reaction to the absolute dufus occupying the White House.

This book may be the most important political book in American history if it gets read although it is being muffled by all three Networks and most print media. If the owner's of the media that had so poorly served the citizens of this nation continues its attempt to stop the awareness of this indictment, there will have been yet another monstrous atrocity committed upon us and this time it will have been committed by our own instruments of information.

Mr. Obama seems to have seen through the whole cockeyed analysis that has been so often repeated that the truth and logic of what the proper reaction should have been to either the most insane or most stupid president in history. (Perhaps Bush is both) If he wins despite his extra dose of melanin in this the country where slavery was and in a way still is endemic, perhaps he will assist in the search for justice that Mr. Bugliosi cries out for.

Mr. Bugliosi better have his affairs in order as the crime family that has cost so many lives and our national treasure is an odious group seemingly capable of any crime you can think of.

The home of the brave and the land of the free just isn't as free as it was a few short years ago (Pre - Nixon, Reagan, et.al.). I hope Vincent T. Bugliosi lives to help whichever prosecutor takes him up on his offer to assist in a prosecution for murder which in a normal world would seem inevitable.

Vincent Bugliosi presents the reader with Who, What, Where and How, but barely
covers the Why? The underlying motive behind this reckless insanity.

As the son of a decorated Air Force veteran who retired from the Pentagon Inspector's Group
having had Above Top Secret clearance, the question of Why..George Bush et al wanted this war
so badly, is easy to see.
It all comes down to money and power. More money than any of us could possibly comprehend
and the power to spend it to sinful proportions without any meaningful oversight or accountability.

President Eisenhower warned us about the evils of the Military Industrial Complex, but I doubt
he could have ever imagined the American people and Congress would have ever let it reach
these proportions.
Very few people understand the reality of extremist factions within the Pentagon and DOD who will
quite literally stop at nothing to justify funding for their pet projects.
Bugliosi dismisses conspiracy theories, focusing only on the more obvious conspiracy in the
White House.

This blatant abuse of pubic trust has resulted in a Trillion Dollar "Terror Industry" based on fear and deception all promoted with illegal DOD funding.

Congress is also clearly unwilling to challenge the motives of the Israeli government
to use Iraq as a buffer between Israel and Iran.

The religious extremism in our country has been carefully manipulated to fan the flames
of an ideological Holy War against the wealth of Persia and Muslim extremists.
Apparently, Neocon ideologues ignored the lessons learned by previous conquests
going back to Alexander The Great. Them heathen savages fight dirty! As we would too
if anyone attempted to invade our land.

Of course this is all a cover used to fleece the taxpayers for all it's worth while " We The Sheeple"
have become self induced indentured servants, so burdened by our own debt, that we dare not
stand up to the IRS or risk any damage to our almighty credit rating.

Bugliosi is correct. Saddam posed no imminent threat to U.S. soil.
With 130,000+ troops at his boarder and U.N. inspectors crawling all over his country,
Saddam was crippled to make one false move.

While many point their fingers to Iraq's natural resources, that is only one
by-product of the spoils of war.

The real motive was unbridled, blank check funding for those captains of industry who enable Bush and more importantly Cheney to reward them for their support.
