Two classic papers, first published in English in 1955 and required reading for training Jungian analysts. Emma Jung, besides being the wife of C.G. Jung, was also an analyst with a major influence in the school of Jung. There is wisdom in her words, simplicity in her style, and we feel the movement of animus and anima from bare concepts to archetypal figures of force in the soul of everyone.

....with all the stereotypical interpretations intact. Recommended only as an intro to the Jungian anima/animus ideas, but fully sharing Jung's own equation of femininity with yin, receptive, emotional, irrational and masculinity with yang, active, intellectual, rational.
