It is basically a survey book. It reviews different researches going on in the field and presents the major results. For details on implementations, you will have to dig the sources by going into the references. Useful if you need introduction to the field, or trying to catch up on recent developments, but not so if you have already been doing research on the subject for more than a year or so.

A lot less details (less equations) than Mueller's "Fixed and Flapping Wing Aerodynamics for Micro Air Vehicle Applications", but more up to date and covers more about biological flight.
