This is an appalling product. Sloppily written and edited, it is riddled with mistakes. The correct answer is "B" but they accidentally wrote "D." The answer doesn't match what was written in the text. Or they are talking about "pairs of socks" in a drawer and then say "4 socks were removed from the drawer" but they meant to say "4 pairs of socks" and the student is left wondering how they could know that. Well they couldn't--Peterson's should have made it clear. So many little mistakes like this.

I have a PhD and I tutor ACT, so I can recognize sloppy work. One of my students bought this book, and kept wanting to understand why she was wrong. If I were a 16 year old trying to make my way through this, it would send me to tears. 1 mistake in the book would be OK, but there were 3 in the half of a test we went through before I finally told her it was them, not her, and recycle this monstrosity. If I were 16, I would think I was wrong, not the book, and I would get disillusioned and quit.

This book should be burnt before is frustrates any other kids. Or else, a class action lawsuit. It is a dreadful product and they should be ashamed.
