I found this at a Half Price Bookstore. I had taken the ETS Prep exams and it seemed I would do horribly. The only reason I picked up this CD was because of the name, and the box wasn't crushed. After taking the CAT Assessment I learned that being out of school for 8 years had taken its toll.



My quantitative skills STANK. I swallowed my ego and started doing all the "easy" exercises. What this CD ROM did well was teach me how to take the test and re-explained the basics. If you can remember how to solve simultaneous equations, and figure out slopes on a Cartesian plane you have no worries. If you can't at the moment . . . pick this up.



I spent about three weeks at 45 minutes a night studying, then took two weeks off. DO NOT WAIT TO CRUNCH! There is no way you'll learn enough to be effective. But JUST doing the quantitative reviews and practive questions, I managed to raise my math score 200+ points.



I didn't think I needed the Verbal help, and I didn't. But! I might have gotten over a 1300 combined (Verbal/QT) if I'd spent time looking into the vocabulary and writing elements on the CD Rom.



For the $8.00 I spent, I definitely got my money's worth.

The best part is . . . I DO NOT have to take this test ever again thanks to Kaplan!
